The Shins ( a good indie rock band) outsold J-Lo last week. Guess that explains why J-LO was on American Idol. Seems American Idol is the home for musicians with dead/dying careers. Then they move on to the Surreal Life.
In 2007 it seems it's best to be low key. The flash and glam of yesterday is over. Thank God. The greatest example of low key is LA's Indie 103 FM, one of the best radio stations on the planet.

Why compare anyone's sales to J Lo though? She is irrelevant, not a real musician, not even a "fluffy" one. I donlt think she counts. Period. If it was Brittney or Pink or Celene Dion Nelly Furr Taco or P Diddy that they outsold it would mean more.
